S Korea's Interdepartmental Joint Research Group Visits CN to Study Autonomous Driving Policies

The South Korean government dispatched today (18th) an interdepartmental joint policy research group to China to learn about advanced unmanned driving technology and policies, with a goal to foster commercialization support plans for autonomous driving and accelerate the establishment of autonomous driving demonstration cities. After the visit to China, the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and other departments plan to dispatch a research group to the US. During the visit, the research group will meet with officials from China's Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Public Security to understand the development policies of physical AI technology, policy support plans, and supporting systems. The group will also visit the Beijing Advanced Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone Innovation Operation Center and leading local autonomous driving companies, where they will experience autonomous driving vehicles from BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and PONY-W (02026.HK).
