CATHAY PAC AIR (00293.HK) has released an announcement, saying that the price of jet fuel has approximately doubled since March amid the latest developments in the Middle East. As such, the airline will be adjusting the fuel surcharge effective next Wednesday (18th). In accordance with the established mechanism, the fuel surcharge will be increased as follows: Short-haul flights: Increase to HKD290 (up from the current HK$142).
