Iran has not blocked the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media quoted an Iranian military officer as saying. At the moment, they are treating vessels passing through the strait according to international rules and established agreements, only intercepting warships disguised as merchant ships.

The Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that they launched today (5th) a missile that hit a U.S. tanker in the northern Persian Gulf, causing the tanker to catch fire.
