Jack Ma stated that the AI era has arrived quickly, impacting society beyond imagination, and no one is fully prepared. However, for teenagers, they have the most hope and opportunity for change. Therefore, Ma and his team visited Yungu School to share Alibaba's increasingly clear insights on AI with the teachers.

AI presents an opportunity for education to return to its essence, opined Ma, when time spent on rote and endless practice of problems can be freed up to cultivate creativity and imagination. Children can have more time to play, to learn music, painting, and sports, learning to share, to feel and experience, to listen, and to understand.

The future is not about children vying with AI in calculation and memory, but about fostering curiosity, empathy, responsibility, and experiential learning. Curiosity, imagination, creativity, judgment, and aesthetic appreciation are the true abilities that education in the AI era needs to instill in children, in Ma's view.
