Dongguan to Sprinkle RMB80M/ RMB50M in Subsidies for New Car/ Home Appliance Purchases

Dongguan recently introduced nine targeted measures focusing on various dimensions such as enterprise production, investment promotion, consumption activation, and service assurance, with substantial financial support to vigorously promote a strong economic jumpstart in the first quarter. In terms of boosting consumption, Dongguan will allocate RMB150 million to comprehensively carry out the "Guangdong Premium Purchase" and "Enjoy Shopping in Dongguan" series of activities. Among which, RMB80 million will be set aside for new car purchase subsidies, with a maximum subsidy of RMB5,000 per vehicle; RMB50 million for new home appliances, electronic products purchases, and local premium product subsidy activities; RMB10 million for "Spring Festival Consumption Red Packets", mainly used in shopping malls, supermarkets, and factory stores; and RMB8 million as "Dining in Dongguan" restaurant consumption vouchers.
