The prices of consumer-grade DRAM and SSD from Samsung Electronics have doubled or more over the past two months, and NAND flash memory prices are also expected to skyrocket in 1Q26, multiple South Korean media reported. The price of Samsung Electronics' DDR5 16GB-5600 personal computer DRAM memory has increased from about KRW150,000 (USD103.5) in November last year to over KRW400,000 (USD276.1) as of last Friday (23rd), report told. Bulk purchases of 1TB and 2TB models are currently unavailable, and Samsung Electronics' DRAM inventory is down to a six-week supply, about half of the normal 10-12 weeks, sources divulged.
