TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) announced after the market closed yesterday (14th) that it has received notification from China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) regarding an investigation under the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China, according to Goldman Sachs' research report.

TRIP.COM-S said that it will actively cooperate with the investigation, and that its business operations remain normal.

Goldman Sachs did not hold any opinion on the potential outcome of the investigation into TRIP.COM-S, but it forecasted domestic revenue for 2026 at RMB39 billion.

As a sensitivity analysis, assuming all other conditions remain unchanged, a 1 ppt change in domestic revenue would result in approx. a 1.2% impact on the broker's overall earnings forecast for TRIP.COM-S. Goldman Sachs believed that TRIP.COM-S' share price may exhibit higher volatility before the investigation situation clarifies or the case is resolved.

Therefore, Goldman Sachs rated TRIP.COM-S at Buy, with target prices of US$91/ $706 for TRIP.COM-S' US stock/ H-shares, based on a SOTP valuation method.
