US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that the US government will approve NVIDIA (NVDA.US) to export and sell its AI chip H200 to China, but the government will take a 25% cut of the sales as an additional fee. Trump stated that unlike NVIDIA's previous H20 chip for the Chinese market, the H200 is a derivative version of the company's Hopper architecture, also sold in the US and other markets.
