CN Last Dec Exports in USD Up 6.6% YoY, Imports Up 5.7%; Both Way Beyond Forecasts

Mainland China's exports in December 2025, measured in USD, elevated 6.6% YoY, way above the market expectation of a 3.1% rise, according to General Administration of Customs (GAC). Imports grew by 5.7% YoY, also well ahead of the market expectation of a 0.9% increase. The trade surplus was USD114.14 billion, compared to the expected surplus of USD114.35 billion.

Related NewsPPI YoY for Dec in China is -1.9%, higher than the previous value of -2.2%. The forecast was -2%.
