The US President Donald Trump administration is considering paying each Greenland resident between US$10,000 and US$100,000 to encourage the island to secede from Denmark and join the US, Reuters quoted sources as saying. Greenland has a population of about 57,000, with total costs potentially ranging from over US$500 million to nearly US$6 billion.
