The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) summoned the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), Tongwei Group, GCL TECH (03800.HK), Daqo New Energy, XINTE ENERGY (01799.HK) and others for talk on Tuesday, Chinese media quoted a circulated minutes as saying.

The meeting primarily addressed the notification of monopoly risks, provided clear rectification opinions and required companies to put in the effort into requirements for rectification work, etc..

The meeting did indeed take place, according to verification from industry insiders by the China Securities Journal. The SAMR instructed the CPIA and the summoned companies to refrain from agreeing on production capacity, capacity utilization rates, production and sales volumes or sales prices.

They are prohibited from engaging in market segmentation, output allocation or profit distribution through contribution ratio in any form. Furthermore, they must not coordinate or communicate regarding prices, costs, production and sales volumes or other related information, either now or in the future.
