US President Donald Trump said that if Venezuela's interim leadership does not comply with US demands to open up its oil industry and combat drug trafficking, military action cannot be ruled out.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was captured by US armed forces over the past weekend, and is expected to appear in a US court on Monday (5th) to face charges related to the 'narcoterrorism conspiracy' indictment from 2020, as well as allowing Venezuelan immigrants to flood into the US, and Venezuela's decision decades ago to nationalize US oil interests.
