NIO's William Li: 2025's Sales Set All-time High; Estimated NEV Penetration 90%+ by 2030

William Li, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO-SW (09866.HK), revealed in a New Year's letter to all employees that last year's sales notched a record high, Chinese media reported. By 2030, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the mainland's new car market is projected to surpass 90%, with plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models accounting for over 80% of NEVs. NIO delivered 48,135 new cars last month, setting an all-time high; under the concerted efforts of its brands, the company delivered over 326,000 new cars throughout last year, also logging a record high, marking a YoY growth of 46.9%.
