Train tickets for the 2026 Mainland New Year's Day holiday officially went on sale today (18th), according to the rule of 15 days' advance pre-sale. Meituan Travel data showed that booking volume for travel during the New Year's period shot up by nearly fivefold YoY. Outbound flight bookings for popular destinations during the New Year's period rallied more than 40%, based on data cited by CCTV from online travel booking platforms.
