By 2030, the market size is expected to hit USD40 billion, with a CAGR of 112% for the same period. The report also highlighted optical components' crucial role for AI or AR glasses, which account for 40-70% of the bill of materials. Citi favors companies with high exposure to the supply chain or a heavier proportion of optical business, including Essilor Luxottica, GOERTEK (002241.SZ), SUNNY OPTICAL (02382.HK), OMNIVISION (603501.SH), and CONANT OPTICAL (02276.HK).
