TSMC (TSM.US) is considering adjusting its production plan of its second factory in Japan from the originally planned 6nm and 7nm chips to the more advanced 4nm chips to meet the growing demand for AI-related products in the market, Nikkei Asia quoted multiple insiders as saying.

Besides the potential 4nm chips, the report added that TSMC is also considering introducing advanced chip packaging technology to its Japanese plant.
