HSBC, BOC HONG KONG Offer Interest-free Loans of Max. $50K for Victims of Fire at Wang Fuk Court

In response to the announcement by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB), HSBC said that it is launching the following relief measures to help affected residents alleviate financial pressure simultaneously. Affected customers can apply for interest-free installment loans or credit card cash installment plans up to $50,000, with a repayment period of 24 months. A pre-approved 6-month repayment grace period is provided for credit card repayments and loans for affected residents of Wang Fuk Court. All related fees for affected customers, including below balance fees and checque-related fees, are waived. BOC HONG KONG (02388.HK) also announced that it will launch special emergency interest-free loans for victims of the fire, with a loan amount of $50,000 and a maximum loan period of 24 months.
