The HSI opened 102 points or 0.4% lower at 25,833. The HSCEI dipped 29 points or 0.3% to 9,077. The HSTECH dropped 23 points or 0.4% to 5,592. Hang Seng Indexes Company is set to make constituent changes after the bell. INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK), which will be added to the HSI next week, opened 0.2% higher. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK), poised to join the HSTECH next week, fell 0.9%. ASMPT (00522.HK), which will be removed from the HSTECH, inched down 0.1%. YUM CHINA (09987.HK), to be included in the HSCEI next week, lost 0.7%. Among tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) receded 0.8% and 1.1% at open. JD-SW (09618.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK) eroded 0.9%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) faded 0.5-0.7%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) remained flat at HKD115.8 and HKD67.5 respectively. Chip stock SMIC (00981.HK) edged 0.1% lower. Car makers GEELY AUTO (00175.HK), BYD COMPANY (01211.HK), and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) opened declining 0.4-0.6%, while XPENG-W (09868.HK) ticked up 0.5%.
