<H Shrs>HSI Leaps 48 Pts at Midday; Robotics Concept Hyped Up

The HSI concluded the midday up 48 points or 0.2% at 25,809. The HSCEI rose 34 points or 0.4% to 9,062. The HSTECH climbed 32 points or 0.6% to 5,567. The total half-day turnover for the market amounted to HKD92.278 billion. In the FTSE China 50 Index review, CHINAHONGQIAO (01378.HK), CATL (03750.HK), and HENGRUI PHARMA (01276.HK) were included, while CSC (06066.HK), GWMOTOR (02333.HK), and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) were excluded. CHINAHONGQIAO added 0.6%. CATL grew 1%. HENGRUI PHARMA leaped 1.7%. CSC and GWMOTOR edged 0.3% and 0.8% higher. LI AUTO-W slipped 1.5%. Amid reports that the US intends to promote the robotics industry, related concepts surged along with the external market. SANHUA (02050.HK) and JOHNSON ELEC H (00179.HK) soared 9.2%. HESAI-W (02525.HK) shot up 6.5%. LENS (06613.HK) rallied 2%. UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) and HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) jumped 3.8% and 4.4%. DOBOT (02432.HK) inclined 2.5%. More than 20 cities in China have reportedly halted or adjusted car trade-in subsidies due to depletion of national subsidy funds. Carmakers BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) receded 0.7% and 1.6%. Among other tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK), and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) lost 0.3-0.5%. NTES-S (09999.HK) edged up 0.3%. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) ballooned 2%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) hiked 2.8% and 2.9%. In addition, KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), NETEASE MUSIC (09899.HK), GDS-SW (09698.HK), and SENSETIME-W (00020.HK) ticked up 2.4-3.4%. PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) eroded 3%.
