South Korea’s Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon called on major technology companies to consider sharing their massive profits with suppliers, contractors and their employees, warning that unprecedented gains driven by the AI boom could exacerbate inequality.

He said the South Korean government, corporations, labor unions and suppliers should engage in open dialogue on how to distribute these excess profits and narrow the gap between large corporations and smaller suppliers.
