The representative lawyer of the Samsung Electronics consumer electronics division union SECU said it will ask a South Korean court to suspend the implementation of a remuneration agreement that mainly involves employees of the chip division.Samsungs two major unions voted last week to approve a labor remuneration agreement under which chip division employees will receive substantial bonuses, implying relatively less favorable treatment for employees outside the chip division.At a court hearing, SECUs lawyer stated that as the agreement has already been approved by vote, the union will seek a court order to suspend its implementation. SECU will submit documents next week to amend its injunction application and expects the court to make a ruling within one month. (mn/da)
