Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (The) (GS.US) has reportedly banned its bankers in Hong Kong from using Anthropic's AI model Claude. According to the Financial Times, Goldman Sachs has prohibited its Hong Kong-based bankers from using Anthropic's AI model Claude, with Hong Kong staff having been unable to access the Claude model for several weeks.An Anthropic spokesperson stated that the Claude model has never received official support in Hong Kong, but declined to provide further comment. The report said Goldman Sachs made the decision after consulting with Anthropic, concluding that under the contract between the two parties, Goldman Sachs' Hong Kong employees should not use any Anthropic products. The move does not affect Goldman Sachs' contracts with other AI vendors such as OpenAI.
