Shell (SHEL.US) announced on Monday that it will acquire Canadian energy company ARC Resources for USD16.4 billion, a deal that will add approximately 370,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day to the companys production.Information shows that ARC Resources focuses on the Montney shale basin in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
