Morgan Stanley released a research report stating that Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) s upcoming fiscal second-quarter results ended March and guidance for the fiscal third quarter ending June are expected to exceed market expectations, potentially serving as a "clearing event" for the share price to move higher. The broker believes that iPhone revenue growth will offset margin pressure from memory cost inflation. It also expects the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June and the launch of a foldable iPhone in September to act as key catalysts, driving the share price to USD300 by September. The report noted that although rising memory costs will pressure gross margin, sustained strength in iPhone, Mac and Services revenue will be sufficient to offset the impact. The broker forecasts that Apples fiscal third-quarter EPS guidance will be broadly in line with market expectations of approximately USD1.74, representing a result that is "better than feared." Morgan Stanley estimates that revenue for the quarters ended March and June will be 1% to 5% above market expectations, mainly supported by strong iPhone shipments and Mac revenue growth driven by MacBook Neo.Related NewsReport: Europe Accelerates Planning for a "European NATO" to Ensure Adequate Defense Even if US WithdrawsThe broker raised its earnings forecasts for Apple and now expects EPS of USD8.63 and USD9.76 for fiscal 2026 and 2027, respectively, above market consensus.
