In March 2026, China's Consumer Price Index (CPI) elevated 1% YoY, above the market expectation of a 0.2% decline, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed. Among them, prices in urban areas hiked 1.1%, while those in rural areas rose 0.9%; food prices grew 0.3% and non-food prices mounted 1.2%; consumer goods prices added 1.3%, while service prices lifted 0.8%.
