The German government is set to introduce regulations limiting gas stations to increase prices only once daily at noon, according to Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA). The government will also strengthen the enforcement of competition law in the fuel sector, simplifying related regulations of antitrust agencies in case of signs of improper price hikes. The new regulations are expected to take effect by the first week of April.
