US President Donald Trump told the New York Post that he does not rule out deploying US ground troops to Iran if necessary, and that the current operations have already killed dozens of senior Iranian officials, completing the mission far ahead of schedule.

He stated that, unlike other presidents, he would not hesitate in deploying ground troops. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also mentioned that there are currently no US troops stationed in Iran, but this possibility cannot be ruled out.

Prior to this, Trump had remarked that this war would last about four weeks. However, he recently noted that the duration of the war might be shortened due to very rapid progress, emphasizing that he was not worried about Iran launching terrorist attacks against the US.
