China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently issued the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Online Catering Service Operators' Implementation of Main Responsibility for Food Safety, which stipulate that food delivery merchants specializing in food delivery services without dine-in options must prominently display a 'No Dine-In' label on their main page.

The regulations also require food delivery platforms to verify and compare the business qualification information of food delivery merchants like their food operation permits against data held by provincial-level market regulatory authorities. Platforms must not provide services to merchants whose information fails verification. This regulation shall take effect on 1 June 2026.
