S&P 500 futures dropped 71 points or 1%, at 6,817. Nasdaq 100 futures dived by 270 points or 1.1%, at 24,734.Asia-Pacific stock markets opened lower. The Nikkei 225 last tumbled by 1,262 points or 2.2%, to 57,587. South Korea's market was closed today. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 declined by 32 points or 0.4%, to 9,165.
