On the 29th day of the Year of the Snake (16th), four Chinese tech companies showcased their robots at the Spring Festival Gala, seizing attention at home and abroad. This included the third appearance of Unitree Robotics' robots performing martial arts, and robots from DOBOT (02432.HK)  +0.540 (+1.420%)    Short selling $6.52M; Ratio 1.734%   . After the program aired, searches linked to robots on JD-SW (09618.HK)  +9.650 (+9.954%)    Short selling $1.49B; Ratio 52.312%   mushroomed over 300%, and order volume shot up 150%. New orders covered more than 100 cities nationwide.

Hong Kong-listed robot-related stocks had a good run against the market trend. UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK)  +2.600 (+2.370%)    Short selling $201.47M; Ratio 33.189%   mounted as much as 13.3% to a peak of HKD156.4, and last posted at HKD147.8, up 7.1%, with a turnover of HKD752 million. DOBOT peaked at HKD48.88, and last stood at HKD47.6, up 19.3%, with a turnover of HKD259 million.

Logistics robot stock GEEKPLUS-W (02590.HK)  0.000 (0.000%)    Short selling $5.81M; Ratio 12.167%   last printed at HKD27.2, up 4.62%, with a turnover of HKD94.5419 million.

Unitree Robotics' two humanoid robots at the gala were equipped with Hesai JT128 LiDAR. HESAI-W (02525.HK)  -5.500 (-2.854%)    Short selling $44.64M; Ratio 54.350%   last logged at HKD217, up 7.53%, with a turnover of HKD131 million.

ROBOSENSE (02498.HK)  -0.160 (-0.466%)    Short selling $13.81M; Ratio 10.686%   last traded at HKD37.92, up 10.23%, with a turnover of HKD161 million. SANHUA (02050.HK)  +0.780 (+2.564%)    Short selling $25.73M; Ratio 7.734%   last charted at HKD37.62, up 5.91%, with a turnover of HKD346 million.
