Macau hotel operators indicated that hotel booking rates and travel agency orders for the Lunar New Year (LNY) period are elevating incessantly, Macao Daily News reported. It is anticipated that hotel occupancy rates during the LNY period will top 90%, marking a peak period for Macau's tourism market.

Cheung Kin Chung, President of Macau Hoteliers & Innkeepers Association, analyzed that this year's LNY brings together multiple positive factors, including government preparations for parades and festive activities such as the LNY market. As the mainland's LNY holiday coincides with a weekend, creating a nine-day holiday, it is expected to boost travel enthusiasm among mainland tourists.
