The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), in collaboration with the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA), recently stepped up efforts to rectify false online information related to centralized procurement of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables. A number of accounts that defamed the procurement process, created anxiety, and misled the public have been dealt with according to the law and regulations.Some typical cases reported include fabricating false information to defame procurement policies and attract traffic; inciting social emotions and creating public anxiety; and deliberately associating non-procurement products with procurement to mislead the public.
