China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and State Administration for Market Regulation have announced plans to address low-price competition in photovoltaic (PV) products and guide local governments in maintaining orderly PV and lithium battery industries.

The PV and lithium battery sectors thrived this morning. GCL TECH (03800.HK)  -0.060 (-4.317%)    Short selling $195.44M; Ratio 22.654%   opened 2.3% higher and once climbed by 12.2% to an intraday high of HKD1.47. It last traded at HKD1.45, up 10.7%, with a turnover of HKD1.448 billion.
