Due to ongoing rain disasters in the Beijing area, CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)  -0.200 (-0.232%)    Short selling $179.06M; Ratio 17.175%   announced that it will provide free BeiDou satellite short message services (SMS) to Beijing users for one month.

In emergency situations where there is no mobile network coverage outdoors, users can use phones that support BeiDou SMS function to send and receive emergency text messages, with a maximum of 30 messages sent and unlimited satellite SMS reception for sending distress signal or safety information.
