If the Chinese shipping company COSCO Group is unable to participate in the sale of Panama ports by CKH Group's Hutchison Port, Beijing will block the sale plan involving over 40 ports, foreign media reported, quoting people familiar with the matter.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian, during a routine press conference, stated that he is not aware of the situation in the report.

Regarding CKH's sale of overseas ports, China's State Administration for Market Regulation will protect market fair competition according to the law and safeguard public interests.

Lin emphasized that China consistently opposes using economic coercion and bullying to infringe on other countries' legitimate rights and interests.
