US President Donald Trump said that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent might become a candidate to replace Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, but hinted that this might not happen, according to foreign media.

Furthermore, after the US released inflation data for June, Trump posted on a social platform urging the Fed to cut rates by 3% again, and suggesting this could save US$1 trillion in federal government spending.
