Nvidia (NVDA.US)      's plan to resume sales of H20 chips to China was part of the rare earth talks between Washington and Beijing, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick admitted, according to foreign reports. He refused to provide further details on it.

Nvidia announced that it had been notified by the US government that the H20 chips would be permitted for export to China. The H20 is an AI chip developed by Nvidia to comply with US export regulations for the Chinese market, but it has been banned from export to China by the US government since April.
