The consumption market in Mainland China became vibrant in 1H25, galvanized by a series of policies to promote consumption and expand domestic demand, showing a positive development trend, Sheng Laiyun, Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), stated at a press conference.

The development of consumption in 2H25 is underpinned, and some positive factors and trends from 1H25 will be carried forward into 2H25, with consumption policies further ramping up. Sheng also predicted that prices will moderately pick up from low levels in 2H25.
