In 1H25, China's national average urban surveyed unemployment rate was 5.2%, a decrease of 0.1 ppt from 1Q25, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The national urban surveyed unemployment rate in June was 5%, in line with market consensus.

The unemployment rate for local household workers was 5.1%, while the unemployment rate for non-local household workers was 4.8%, with the unemployment rate for non-local agricultural household workers at 4.8%.
