PetroChina Group announced that Changqing Oilfield has cumulatively produced more than 700 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equivalent to replacing 850 million tons of standard coal and helping to reduce carbon emissions by 1.02 billion tons.

According to the group, Changqing Oilfield has been under development for 55 years, during which 14 gas fields, including Jingbian, Yulin, and Sulige, have been developed. Four trillion-cubic-meter-class reserves have been discovered one after another. Currently, Changqing's annual natural gas output accounts for 25% of the national total, supplying household gas to nearly 400 million residents in more than 50 large- and medium-sized cities like Beijing and Shanghai.
