Regarding whether China and the US will hold negotiations in early-August, He Yongqian, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), responded at a recent press conference that both sides are maintaining close communication at various levels on their respective concerns in the economic and trade areas.

He hoped that the US and China will work for the shared goal, adhering to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation.
