US chip software companies Cadence Design Systems (CDNS.US)      and Synopsys (SNPS.US)      stated that the US has removed export controls on chip design software to China, and is resuming access to software for affected customers, various foreign media reported.

Germany's Siemens earlier declared that it had been informed by the US Department of Commerce that it no longer needs to apply for licenses to conduct business in China, Bloomberg reported.
