Mable Chan, Hong Kong's Secretary for Transport and Logistics, revealed on a program on RTHK that the passenger facilities at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)'s Terminal 2 (T2) are expected to commence operations in March 2026, and their target will be a younger demographic.

Aligning with the Belt and Road emerging markets, Chan hopes that these facilities can attract the younger generation and newer non-local airlines.
