At least six cities in China have suspended subsidies for car trade-ins this month, according to foreign media reports.

Specifically, government announcements from Zhengzhou and Luoyang revealed that the first round of funding for the scheme had already been exhausted, while Shenyang and Chongqing stated that the suspension was aimed at heightening funding efficiency. Xinjiang has also paused its subsidies.

Although it is still unknown when the next round of subsidy funds will be released, China's National Development and Reform Commission has disclosed that subsidies will continue until the end of this year. Analysts estimated new funding for 3Q to arrive in July.
