The US Senate passed the stablecoin regulation bill "GENIUS Act" with a vote of 68 to 30. The bill must be submitted to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives for approval and then sent to President Donald Trump for signing into law.If this bill is signed into law, stablecoins must be backed by liquid assets such as the US dollar or short-term US Treasury bonds.
