Recent developments in the US have pushed an immense amount of capital into Hong Kong, making this city a safe haven for funds, said Paul Chan, Hong Kong's Financial Secretary. In his estimates, the HIBOR will remain at a very low level for some time.

As international investors have shown their confidence in Hong Kong's capital market through both their capital and concrete actions, Chan emphasized that the government will continue to attract more leading Chinese enterprises to Hong Kong, and it also welcomes more Chinese ADRs to return and list in this city.
