The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) announced that squally showers associated with Wutip are affecting the coast of Guangdong. Wutip is expected to move across Beibu Wan today (13th), maintaining a distance of over 500 kilometres from Hong Kong.

The Standby Signal, No. 1 will remain in force today. The Observatory will assess the need for issuing the Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 tomorrow (14th).

With the gradual weakening of Wutip over inland areas, local winds are expected to moderate progressively later on Sunday (15th).
