Israel has launched an attack on Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the strike targeted Iran's nuclear program.

Footage circulating on social media showed explosions in eastern Tehran, while the sounds of fighter jets and air defense missiles were heard in northern Tehran, according to foreign media reports.

In contrast, gold prices surged with spot gold trading at USD3,424.76 per ounce, up USD41.26 or 1.2%.
