After the market closed yesterday (9th), the Macau government announced that it had received official notifications from three gaming concessionaires, namely SJM Resorts, Melco Resorts & Entertainment (MLCO.US)      , and GALAXY ENT (00027.HK)  -0.550 (-1.652%)    Short selling $41.36M; Ratio 14.411%   , saying that they will cease operations of 11 satellite casinos and 3 Mocha Clubs by December 31, 2025.

Meanwhile, SJM HOLDINGS (00880.HK)  -0.050 (-2.016%)    Short selling $5.21M; Ratio 15.658%   plans to acquire the property where Casino Ponte 16 is located from SUCCESSUNIVERSE (00487.HK)  -0.003 (-2.542%)   . It also intends to acquire and self-operate the remaining two satellite casinos.

Following yesterday's market close, PARADISE ENT (01180.HK)  -0.050 (-5.000%)   issued an announcement stating that the service agreement concerning the provision of casino management services by the group to SJM Resorts at Casino Kam Pek Paradise in Macau will not be renewed or extended upon its expiry on December 31, 2025.

SUCCESSUNIVERSE opened 33.33% higher and once soared by 1.4 times to a high of HKD0.159, marking an over-one-year high since mid-March last year. It last traded at HKD0.139, up 110.61%, on a volume of 36.8031 million shares, involving HKD4.734 million.

Suffering from a 47.5% nosedive yesterday, PARADISE ENT resumed trading this morning and opened 25% lower. It once sank by 32.3% to bottom at HKD0.65 in early trading, the lowest since mid-December 2022. It was last at HKD0.82, down 14.58%, on a turnover of HKD17.8827 million.
