The conflict between the White House and Harvard University escalated. US President Donald Trump signed an announcement overnight (4th) to restrict visas for international students at Harvard University, temporarily suspending the entry of foreign citizens studying or participating in exchange programs at Harvard University. This is his latest move to cut off Harvard's international student sources, as one-quarter of the university's students come from overseas.

In the executive order signed on Wednesday, Trump claimed that allowing Harvard University to continue receiving foreign students at its Cambridge, Massachusetts campus would jeopardize national security.
